About Us

When one of the volunteer firefighters with the Warsaw Fire Protection District developed serious medical issues, several of the other firefighters came up with a way to help by creating the Warsaw Firefighters Benevolence Fund. They hoped to ease the burden of the bills not covered by insurance and set right to work establishing sponsors, events, recruiting help from fellow firefighters, not only from the WFPD, but from several other departments in Benton County to move forward with their plan. The result? The goal they set for themselves was SHATTERED by the generosity of the wonderful residents and visitors of Benton County!

The WFBF is run by a board elected by the firefighters of the WFPD. Sitting on our board in 2020 are President Dave Bruns, Vice President Gary Jeffries, Secretary Glenn Spencer, Treasurer John Powell, and Social Media Manager Samantha Henley.
